Job Description

As a Semi-Automatic Welder, you will perform welding tasks using semi-automatic welding equipment to assemble and fabricate metal components according to production standards. You will work in a factory environment while ensuring high-quality workmanship, safety, and productivity.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operate semi-automatic welding machines safely and efficiently.
  • Weld metal components according to engineering drawings and production specifications.
  • Prepare materials by cleaning, measuring, and positioning metal parts before welding.
  • Inspect welded joints to ensure they meet quality standards.
  • Perform minor maintenance and troubleshooting of welding equipment.
  • Follow workplace safety procedures and wear the required personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
  • Assist with general production and factory operations when required.
  • Handle and move materials and finished products safely.
  • Work effectively with supervisors and team members to achieve daily production targets.

Working Conditions

  • Work in a manufacturing or factory environment.
  • Exposure to welding heat, sparks, noise, and fumes.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods during shifts.
  • Lift and handle heavy materials when necessary.
  • Follow strict safety and quality control procedures.

Qualifications

  • At least 1 year of relevant work experience is required.
  • High school graduate or ALS (Alternative Learning System) graduate.
  • First-time applicants for work in Japan are welcome.
  • Experience in any of the following is an advantage:
    • Semi-automatic welding
    • Production
    • Manufacturing
    • Packaging
    • Assembly line
    • Warehouse operations
    • Factory-related work
  • Willing to study the Japanese language for 2–3 months after passing the employer’s interview.
  • Must possess a valid passport.
  • Applicants must not have full-sleeve tattoos.
  • Certificate of Employment (COE) is not required.
  • Physically fit and able to perform manual work in a factory environment.
  • Willing to work overtime and follow company regulations when required.
