Key Responsibilities

As a Nitrogen Technician, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the safe and efficient operation of nitrogen pump equipment. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Coordinating Operations: Oversee all activities according to operational procedures and QHSE (Quality, Health, Safety, and Environmental) requirements.
  • Equipment Setup: Assist with the rig-up and rig-down of nitrogen pump equipment, ensuring precise monitoring during nitrogen insertion into systems.
  • Maintenance & Inspections: Conduct routine maintenance and safety inspections of nitrogen pumps and related equipment. Test operational procedures and maintain detailed logs of your work.
  • Documentation: Prepare daily operational logs, testing data, acceptance certificates, and consumable reports for client approval.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with clients to oversee test preparations and ensure compliance with approved procedures.
  • Safety Reporting: Promptly report all near misses, incidents, and accidents to prevent recurrence. Regularly assess site activities for potential hazards and implement effective control measures following ALARP (As Low As Reasonably Practicable) principles.
  • Change Management: Communicate all changes to the Project Engineer and ensure compliance with project systems and procedures.

Qualifications and Requirements

To be successful in this role, candidates must possess:

  • Relevant onshore and offshore site experience.
  • A strong understanding of processes and procedures in hazardous environments.
  • A Mechanical Apprenticeship or Trade Certificate.
  • Experience working in offshore and LNG (Liquefied Natural Gas) sites.
  • Completion of HSE (Health, Safety, and Environment) essentials training.
