Ritesh Tariyal is looking for a compassionate, patient, and responsible Nanny to provide attentive childcare and household support at his residence located in Victoria, British Columbia. The successful candidate will play an important role in ensuring the physical, emotional, and developmental well-being of the children while maintaining a clean, organized, and nurturing home environment.


Job Details

  • Location: 4249 Cheverage Place, Victoria, BC, V8N 5A9

  • Work Setting: On-site (No remote option)

  • Salary: $19.00 per hour

  • Hours: 30 to 40 hours per week

  • Employment Type: Permanent, Full-time

  • Work Schedule: Flexible hours

  • Start Date: As soon as possible

Language Requirement

  • English: Required (ability to communicate clearly and understand instructions)


Education and Experience

  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience.

  • Experience: Experience working with children is considered an asset. Candidates with previous nanny, babysitting, or childcare experience will be preferred.


Work Setting

The position requires working directly at the employer’s residence in Victoria, BC. The nanny will be expected to create a structured yet loving atmosphere for the children while assisting in day-to-day household tasks related to childcare.


Key Responsibilities

As a Nanny, you will perform a variety of duties designed to promote a child’s safety, comfort, and development. These include but are not limited to:

  • Childcare Duties:

    • Bathe, dress, and feed infants or children as needed.

    • Supervise children during playtime, meals, and rest periods.

    • Provide nurturing care and respond sensitively to their emotional and physical needs.

    • Discipline children according to parents’ preferences and guidance.

    • Support the emotional well-being and social development of the children.

  • Educational and Developmental Support:

    • Help children develop good habits in hygiene and personal care.

    • Encourage creativity, curiosity, and learning through play and conversation.

    • Foster social skills and responsibility appropriate for their age.

  • Household Responsibilities:

    • Perform light housekeeping and cleaning tasks related to childcare (tidying play areas, washing children’s clothes, etc.).

    • Maintain a clean, safe, and healthy environment in the home.

    • Prepare simple and nutritious meals or snacks for the children when required.

  • Warm, caring, and patient nature.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to multitask and manage time efficiently.

  • Understanding of child safety and first aid principles (certification is an asset).

  • Respect for family privacy and routines.
