Experience

  • Required: 1 year to less than 2 years of relevant experience operating machine tools or CNC machinery in an industrial or production setting.

Responsibilities

As a Machining Tool Operator, you will be responsible for:

  • Setting up and operating a variety of conventional or computer numerically controlled (CNC) machine tools such as lathes, milling machines, or grinders.

  • Reading and interpreting blueprints, drawings, and technical specifications.

  • Measuring and verifying dimensions of machined parts using precision measuring instruments.

  • Monitoring machine operation and adjusting as needed to maintain product quality and efficiency.

  • Performing routine maintenance and cleaning of machines and tools.

  • Ensuring safety procedures and company quality standards are followed at all times.

  • Collaborating with team members and supervisors to meet production targets and deadlines.

Skills and Competencies

  • Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.

  • Knowledge of machining processes and materials.

  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.

  • Familiarity with measuring tools (micrometers, calipers, gauges).

  • Basic computer literacy for CNC controls and production tracking.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

  • Good communication and time management skills.
