DTS is currently seeking skilled and experienced Stainless Steel Fabricators to join its professional Trades & Services team in Normanby, Taranaki. Key Responsibilities
In this position, you will be responsible for interpreting technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications in order to fabricate and assemble stainless steel components and equipment to exact standards. Your daily tasks will involve welding, cutting, grinding, polishing, and finishing stainless steel products while ensuring durability, functionality, and visual quality. You will also install and commission stainless steel equipment at client sites, ensuring proper setup and operation. Additionally, you will carry out routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on existing installations to ensure long-term performance and reliability.
Team Collaboration and Work Environment
As a key member of the team, you will work closely with other tradespeople, supervisors, and project managers to ensure projects are completed on time and meet high-quality standards. Maintaining a clean, safe, and organized workplace is essential, along with strict adherence to health and safety regulations. Your role will contribute to a positive and safety-focused work culture.
Required Skills and Experience
The ideal candidate will have several years of hands-on experience as a stainless steel fabricator, welder, or boilermaker. Strong technical knowledge of fabrication processes, welding techniques, and finishing methods is essential. You should be able to read and interpret technical drawings, work orders, and specifications accurately. Attention to detail, problem-solving ability, and good communication skills are key requirements for this role.
