Position Overview

We are currently seeking a motivated and reliable Warehouse Assistant to join our team in Albion Park Rail, New South Wales. This full-time position plays a vital role in ensuring the smooth day-to-day operations of our warehouse within the fire protection industry.

The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting all aspects of warehouse operations, including receiving goods, inventory management, order preparation, and maintaining safety standards. This role is ideal for someone who is hands-on, detail-oriented, and capable of working both independently and as part of a team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Receive, inspect, and verify incoming goods to ensure accuracy, quality, and compliance with purchase orders.
  • Accurately record and store inventory in designated warehouse locations following proper storage procedures.
  • Pick, pack, and prepare orders for dispatch in accordance with company guidelines and deadlines.
  • Assist with the loading and unloading of delivery vehicles using safe manual handling techniques.
  • Maintain a clean, organised, and safe warehouse environment in compliance with workplace health and safety regulations.
  • Perform regular stock counts, inventory checks, and assist with audits to ensure stock accuracy.
  • Conduct stock runs to remote storage facilities as required.
  • Identify and report any discrepancies, damages, or operational issues to the Assets Manager.
  • Assist in the pressure testing and maintenance of fire extinguishers (training may be provided).
  • Support general warehouse duties and contribute to continuous process improvements.

Skills & Requirements

  • Previous experience in a warehouse, logistics, or similar environment (preferred but not essential).
  • Basic understanding of warehouse operations, including picking, packing, and dispatch processes.
  • Strong attention to detail with good organisational and time-management skills.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and within a team environment.
  • Good level of physical fitness with the ability to lift and move heavy items safely.
  • Basic computer skills and familiarity with inventory management systems.
  • Valid Forklift Licence (required).
  • Strong work ethic, reliability, and a proactive attitude.
