We are currently recruiting 7 Laundry Attendants to support operations across our Queenstown hotels. This is an excellent opportunity to build a career in the hospitality industry within a stable, structured, and supportive environment.

About the Role

As a Laundry Attendant, you will be responsible for the daily processing and care of hotel linen, towels, uniforms, and other laundry items. You will ensure all materials meet the company’s strict hygiene, cleanliness, and presentation standards.

This position requires efficiency, attention to detail, physical stamina, and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced hotel environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Sort, inspect, and classify linen according to fabric type and washing requirements
• Operate commercial washing machines, dryers, and ironing equipment
• Wash, dry, press, iron, and fold linen to hotel quality standards
• Maintain production flow and meet daily linen targets
• Rotate and process larger items such as duvet covers and bulk bedding
• Follow safe handling procedures for laundry chemicals and cleaning agents
• Wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at all times
• Clean and maintain laundry machines at the end of each shift
• Monitor linen inventory and assist with stock control procedures
• Identify and report damaged linen or maintenance issues
• Report any lost property found in laundry items in accordance with hotel policy
• Comply with health, safety, and hygiene regulations at all times

Skills and Requirements

• Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness
• Ability to work efficiently in a physically demanding environment
• Good time management and organizational skills
• Reliable, punctual, and dependable
• Ability to work rostered shifts, including weekends and public holidays
• Valid working rights in New Zealand
• Previous experience in hotel laundry or housekeeping (preferred but not essential)

Training will be provided for motivated and hardworking candidates who are eager to learn.

Working Conditions

• Part-time position with 30+ hours per week
• Competitive hourly wage of $26.70 per hour
• Shift-based roster including mornings, afternoons, and weekends
