Key Responsibilities for Car Wash Supervisor

  • Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of car wash and cleaning staff to ensure efficient and high-quality service delivery.

  • Hire new staff and provide onboarding and training for new hires to ensure safety protocols, cleaning procedures, and customer service standards are understood and followed.

  • Develop and implement employee work schedules based on peak operating hours and business needs.

  • Perform inspections of vehicles, work areas, and facilities to ensure all cleaning meets health, safety, and operational standards.

  • Recommend or coordinate additional maintenance services, such as repainting, repairs, renovations, or replacing worn equipment or furnishings.

  • Provide direct assistance with manual cleaning tasks during busy hours or staff shortages.

  • Monitor supply levels and submit requisitions for cleaning products, maintenance tools, and other operational items as needed.

  • Respond to customer concerns and resolve complaints professionally and effectively.

  • Maintain a positive and motivated work environment while enforcing company policies and ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.

Required Qualifications for Car Wash Supervisor

Language

  • English (fluent spoken and written skills required)

Education

  • Completion of secondary (high) school graduation certificate is required

Experience

  • Minimum of 2 years to less than 3 years of supervisory or relevant cleaning/automotive industry experience is required

  • Previous experience in a car wash or automotive detailing environment is a strong asset

  • Proven ability to lead, motivate, and manage a diverse team of workers

Work Conditions and Physical Requirements

  • Fast-paced environment with frequent activity and interaction

  • Must be able to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
