About the Role:

As the Farm Manager, you’ll lead all aspects of our 6-shed breeder farm, ensuring optimal bird health, egg production, and team performance. Your responsibilities include:

• People Management: Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team.
• Bird Welfare: Maintain exceptional animal husbandry practices for fertile egg production.
• Biosecurity: Implement and uphold stringent biosecurity protocols.
• Farm Operations: Coordinate all farm activities to achieve short and long-term goals.
• Shed Management: Monitor alarms, oversee equipment, and coordinate maintenance.
• Team Leadership: Guide your team in specialized tasks like bird health, feeding, egg grading, and monitoring shed conditions.
• Health and Medication: Oversee serological monitoring and medication administration.
• Administration: Ensure accurate record-keeping and reporting in compliance with company guidelines.
• Continuous Improvement: Collaborate with colleagues to enhance processes and drive results.

Our modern 6-shed breeder production farm is conveniently located 10 minutes from Allora on the scenic Southern Darling Downs. You’ll enjoy a comfortable lifestyle in the fully maintained on-site manager’s residence.

About You:

• Proven Experience: Prior experience managing poultry farms and teams is essential.
• Animal Welfare: Strong understanding of animal welfare standards and regulations.
• Technical Skills: Proficient with shed controllers and automated egg collection systems.
• Leadership: Motivated self-starter with excellent time management and decision-making abilities.
