Key Responsibilities of the Welding Technician

  • Welding and Fabrication: Use various welding methods (MMA, MIG, MAG, TIG) to fabricate and weld parts according to specific technical drawings, ensuring high precision and adherence to specifications.
  • Follow Technical Drawings: Accurately interpret and work from technical drawings to meet required standards.
  • Self-Motivated: Work independently to fulfill project requirements while maintaining productivity and quality.
  • Workshop Maintenance: Keep the workspace organized, maintaining cleanliness and operational safety standards.
  • Inventory Management: Assist with unloading deliveries and organizing supplies, ensuring everything is stored in the right place for seamless workflow.
  • Administrative Tasks: Complete and maintain accurate paperwork to support project tracking and accountability.

Qualifications and Experience

Ideal candidates will have:

  • At least 1 year of welding and fabrication experience or equivalent NVQ qualifications in welding.
  • Knowledge in welding techniques such as MIG, MAG, MMA, and TIG.
  • Experience in a related role, such as Welder, Fabricator, Mechanical Engineer, or Fitter, is preferred.
