Trust Steel Inc. is actively seeking dedicated, experienced, and safety-focused Welder-Fitters to join our dynamic team in Kitchener, Ontario. Position Details

💼 Terms of Employment
Status: Permanent, Full-Time
Workplace: On-site — physical presence required; remote work is not an option.
Hours: 30 hours per week, with potential for overtime depending on project timelines.

Requirements

📚 Education:
Minimum Secondary (High) School Graduation Certificate

🛠️ Experience:
3 to less than 5 years of proven, practical experience in welding and fitting.

🌐 Language:
English proficiency is required to understand blueprints, safety instructions, and technical specifications.

Key Responsibilities

As a Welder-Fitter at Trust Steel Inc., you will:

Set up and operate manual, semi-automatic, and fully automated welding equipment with accuracy and safety.
Read and interpret complex welding blueprints, technical drawings, specifications, manuals, and process charts to determine welding requirements.
Operate manual or semi-automatic flame-cutting tools, as well as other metal shaping, straightening, and bending machinery such as brakes and shears.
Fabricate, assemble, and install steel components and structures according to strict quality standards.
Inspect completed welds to ensure they meet internal and external quality guidelines.

Specializations

To succeed in this role, you should be skilled in multiple welding techniques, including but not limited to:

Oxy-Acetylene Welding (OAW)
Shielded Metal Arc Welding (SMAW)
Gas Tungsten Arc Welding (GTAW/TIG)
Gas Metal Arc Welding (GMAW)
Flux Core Arc Welding (FCAW)
Plasma Arc Welding (PAW)
Submerged Arc Welding (SAW)
Brazing and Soldering

Practical expertise with different welding processes adds versatility to your skill set and helps deliver outstanding results on a variety of projects.
