About the Role:

In this dynamic and creative role, you’ll be responsible for:

  • Planning, filming, and editing high-quality video content for various platforms, including social media (Meta, TikTok), YouTube, and our website.
  • Collaborating with the Director of Marketing and Communications, Content Creator, and YMCA branches to identify compelling stories that align with our mission and community goals.
  • Capturing interviews, documenting events, and showcasing the Y’s impact on youth development, healthy living, and social responsibility.
  • Overseeing all aspects of video production, from conceptualization to implementation, including pre-production, filming, editing, and final delivery.
  • Ensuring all video content adheres to brand guidelines and maintains a high standard of quality.
  • Staying up-to-date on industry trends, tools, and best practices in video production.
  • Contributing to a collaborative and positive work environment.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in videography, film production, video editing, or a related field (or equivalent experience) is required.
  • 3-4 years of proven experience in video production and editing, with a preference for non-profit or community-focused settings.
  • Strong portfolio or demo reel showcasing your previous video projects (required).
  • Proficiency in operating professional video equipment, cameras, audio, and lighting.
  • Excellent visual storytelling abilities and creative thinking.
  • Expertise in Adobe Premiere Pro and After Effects.
  • Experience with mobile editing apps is a plus.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present to diverse audiences.
  • Ability to plan, budget, and manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to learn new tools quickly.
  • Strong teamwork skills with a customer-service focus.
  • Ability to work independently but also collaborate effectively with others.
