Position Overview

We are seeking experienced Heavy Duty (HD) Fitters to join our high-performing maintenance team at a new underground mining operation in Western Australia. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work with industry-leading machinery in a fast-paced environment, with flexible roster options of 2/1 or 8/6. Successful candidates will play a critical role in ensuring the reliability, performance, and safety of our underground fleet.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct scheduled servicing, preventative maintenance, and minor rebuilds on Sandvik, Epiroc, and Normet underground equipment.

  • Accurately diagnose mechanical and hydraulic faults, carry out troubleshooting, and perform effective repairs.

  • Refurbish, replace, and interpret parts and accessories to extend equipment life.

  • Ensure maintenance tasks are completed within allocated timeframes while maintaining safety and efficiency standards.

  • Collaborate effectively within a multicultural workforce and contribute to a positive team culture.

Requirements

  • Australian-recognized Heavy Duty Mechanic trade qualification.

  • Current and valid C Class driver’s licence.

  • National Police Clearance (issued within the past 6 months).

  • Demonstrated experience in maintaining underground heavy mining equipment (highly desirable).

  • Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills.

  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.

  • Ability to work independently as well as within a team.
