Position Type: Permanent, Full-time
Salary: $36.00 per hour
Hours: 40 hours per week
Start Date: As soon as possible
Vacancies: 2 positions
Work Schedule: Early morning, morning, day, evening, night, and weekends

Language Requirement
Applicants must be able to communicate effectively in English.
Education and Experience
A Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent education is required. Candidates should also possess 1 to 2 years of relevant experience as a truck driver or in a similar transport role.
Work Setting
This is an on-site position that requires physical presence at the company’s operational locations or client delivery points. Remote work is not available for this role. Drivers will be required to travel within Alberta and to other provinces as needed, depending on delivery schedules.
Key Responsibilities
As a Truck Driver with ELEFANTE EXPRESS LTD., your duties will include:
Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials.
Drive solo or as part of a two-person team or convoy on regional and long-haul routes.
Load and unload cargo, ensuring proper handling, securing loads, and maintaining balance and weight distribution.
Perform thorough pre-trip, en route, and post-trip inspections of trucks and equipment, including tires, lights, brakes, and refrigeration systems.
Monitor and maintain the condition of vehicles, promptly reporting mechanical issues.
Record essential trip details such as cargo information, distance traveled, fuel usage, and hours of service.
Communicate effectively with dispatchers and follow scheduled delivery routes.
Adhere strictly to transportation safety regulations and company policies.
Perform light vehicle maintenance and cleaning as required.
Licences and Certifications
To qualify for this role, applicants must possess the following credentials:
Valid Class 1 or A Driver’s License (in good standing)
Air Brake (Z) Endorsement (mandatory)
These certifications ensure drivers are fully capable of handling heavy commercial trucks and operating under Canadian transport regulations.
