The Role

We are seeking an experienced Timber/Wood Machinist to join our friendly production team. This is a fantastic opportunity for skilled individuals to utilize their expertise in a dynamic and supportive work environment. In this full-time role, you will have the chance to work with advanced machinery while contributing to the production of high-quality timber products.

Key Responsibilities:

• Machine Operation: Set up and operate the 4-side (8-head) timber CNC moulder machine to meet production targets efficiently.
• Tool Setup: Configure cutters in tool heads and ensure optimal functioning of machinery.
• Grinding: Operate machinery to grind both straight and profiled cutters (training provided for new skills).
• Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance on CNC moulders, grinders, and other timber machinery to ensure safety and efficiency.
• Quality Control: Conduct quality checks to maintain our high standards for timber mouldings.

Skills and Qualifications

To be considered for the Timber/Wood Machinist role, you should possess the following:

• Experience: Previous experience operating and programming 4 Sider CNC timber machinery in a production environment is essential.
• Technical Skills: Familiarity with cutter block knife setting, operation of profiled grinders, and sharpening of straight and profiled knives (training available).
• Team Player: Ability to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a small, dedicated team.
• Safety Focus: Strong commitment to workplace safety and quality assurance.
• Transportation: Current driver’s license and reliable transport are necessary for commuting to the workplace.
• Clearance: Pre-employment drug testing and police clearance are required.
• Visa Sponsorship: We are open to considering applicants on temporary visas and sponsorship options.
