Skilled Welder Job Key Responsibilities
- Inspect and assess skips for any structural damage or corrosion.
- Perform professional-level welding and fabrication repairs on skips.
- Reinforce metal components using MIG or arc welding methods.
- Ensure all repairs comply with internal safety and quality guidelines.
- Maintain accurate logs of completed jobs and highlight recurring issues.
- Uphold strict workshop safety, PPE compliance, and housekeeping standards.
- Contribute to other maintenance and workshop duties as needed.
Required Skills & Experience
Must Have:
- Proven welding experience – preferably with skip containers or heavy steel structures.
- Strong technical drawing interpretation skills.
- Solid understanding of health and safety procedures.
- Excellent time management and communication abilities.
- A team-focused attitude with a commitment to high-quality work.
