About the Role

Our client operates multiple distribution centers across South Auckland and is looking for reliable and energetic individuals to support their permanent workforce. As a Pick Packer or Devanner, your primary responsibility will be to ensure efficient loading and unloading of stock, maintaining warehouse organization, and assisting with order fulfillment. This role requires individuals who can handle physical work, adhere to health and safety standards, and contribute to a productive team environment. Key Responsibilities for Pick Packers/Devanners

  • Unloading Containers: Efficiently unload incoming stock from containers, place them on pallets, and prepare them for storage.
  • Stock Organization: Categorize and sort products based on destination and warehouse requirements.
  • Scanning & Labelling: Use RF scanners to scan and correctly label incoming and outgoing goods.
  • Packing & Wrapping: Secure products on pallets using strapping and wrapping techniques to ensure safety during transport.
  • Order Picking: Manually pick and pack orders according to customer requirements, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
  • Data Entry: Occasionally input data into warehouse management systems when needed.
  • Warehouse Maintenance: Maintain a clean and organized workspace, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
  • Forklift Operations (if applicable): Operate forklifts and other warehouse machinery when required (license preferred but not mandatory).

What We’re Looking For

To be successful in this role, candidates must meet the following criteria:

  • Experience & Skills:
    • Previous experience in pick packing, devanning, or warehousing is required.
    • Familiarity with RF scanners and warehouse management systems is an advantage.
    • Computer literacy is preferred but not mandatory.
  • Physical & Work Requirements:
    • Must be physically fit and capable of consistently lifting up to 25kg throughout the shift.
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced and high-energy environment.
    • Reliable transportation to and from work.
    • Good communication skills and ability to follow instructions accurately.
  • Work Ethic & Compliance:
    • Punctual, hardworking, and a team player.
    • Strong attention to detail to ensure accuracy in order fulfillment.
    • Commitment to maintaining workplace safety standards.
    • Willingness to undergo pre-employment checks, including Ministry of Justice (MOJ) background checks and drug testing.
