Multiple Positions Available
Key Responsibilities:
Your daily tasks may include:
- Quality Control: Weeding, grading, and maintaining the nursery site and plants.
- Propagation: Plant propagation and seed collection.
- Production: Operating potting machines, hand potting, and organizing plants within the nursery.
- Dispatch & Inwards Goods: Preparing plants for dispatch and organizing incoming stock from suppliers.
- Health & Safety Compliance: Ensuring all tasks adhere to OSH standards.
Skills and Experience:
We are looking for individuals who possess:
- Physical Ability: Capability to handle physical tasks like lifting, walking, and crouching.
- Teamwork: A collaborative spirit and strong interpersonal skills.
- Communication: Attention to detail and clear communication skills.
- Willingness to Learn: Interest in horticulture, plants, and gardening, with technical training available.
Preferred Attributes:
- Genuine enthusiasm for plants and gardening
- Previous nursery or horticultural experience
- Physical fitness and a hands-on attitude
- Reliability, honesty, and punctuality
- High energy and task prioritization skills
- Initiative and problem-solving ability
- Agrichemical experience (GrowSafe certification is a bonus)
- Tractor or forklift operation experience
Work Environment:
This role involves working outdoors, often standing, crouching, and performing repetitive tasks, with occasional heavy lifting.
