Key Responsibilities

As a Mixed Production Farm Worker, your primary tasks will include:

• Crop and Livestock Management: Patrolling, inspecting, and reporting on the condition of crops and livestock to ensure optimal health and productivity.
• Farm Machinery Operation: Operating a variety of farm machinery for cultivation, planting, fertilizing, spraying, and harvesting crops, ensuring that equipment is maintained and in good working order.
• Infrastructure Maintenance: Cleaning and maintaining farming infrastructure and equipment, including sheds, pens, fences, and irrigation systems to support efficient farm operations.
• Logistics and Handling: Loading and unloading seed grain, fertilizers, livestock feed, and produce into transport vehicles, ensuring smooth logistics and transportation processes.
• Livestock Feeding Programs: Providing livestock with feed and water, implementing effective livestock feeding programs, and assisting in maintaining their health and welfare.
• Livestock Management: Mustering and droving livestock to milking and shearing sheds, as well as between paddocks, to ensure they have access to sufficient feed and care.

Ideal Candidate Profile

To succeed in this role, candidates must demonstrate:

• Professionalism and Attention to Detail: A professional approach to work with a keen eye for detail.
• Teamwork and Independence: The ability to work collaboratively within a team and independently when required.
• Equipment Operation Skills: Proficiency in operating and maintaining farming equipment and machinery.

Required Qualifications

• A valid full driver’s license and access to a vehicle.
• A current police check.
• 18 to 24 months of relevant farm experience.
• Flexibility with work hours, including availability on weekends and during peak times such as sowing and harvest.
• The capability to commit to overtime hours, including night shifts as needed.

Salary: $65,835 based on a 38-hour work week, with additional compensation for overtime and weekend work.
