We are currently looking for a Medical Secretary / Receptionist to join our friendly Liverpool practice. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is passionate about patient care, organised, and eager to work in a supportive healthcare environment.

About the Role

The successful applicant will play a vital role as the first point of contact for patients and referring practitioners. Reporting directly to the Head Secretary and Administration Manager, you will be responsible for delivering professional reception and administrative services, while maintaining a warm, empathetic, and efficient front desk experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform reception and administrative duties with a strong focus on accuracy and professionalism.

  • Welcome patients with empathy, respect, and a patient-first attitude.

  • Provide excellent service and assistance to referring doctors and healthcare practitioners.

  • Manage appointment scheduling, phone calls, and patient inquiries.

  • Handle multi-tasking effectively in a busy, fast-paced environment.

  • Work collaboratively with other team members to ensure smooth daily operations.

  • Assist with data entry, billing, and maintaining patient confidentiality at all times.

Skills & Attributes We Are Looking For

  • Previous experience in a medical, healthcare, or radiology reception role is highly desirable, but not essential.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to prioritise tasks effectively.

  • Proficient computer skills and familiarity with healthcare systems/software.

  • A professional, caring, and approachable personality with the ability to stay calm under pressure.
