About the Work Environment

This position is based entirely on-site, within a fast-paced and active work environment. A-1 Cash and Carry operates a busy retail, wholesale, and warehouse facility where attention to detail, quick decision-making, and effective communication are essential.

Education and Experience Requirements

Language Requirement: English
Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years in a relevant field such as warehouse supervision, inventory coordination, or logistics operations

Work Settings

This role involves working within:

  • A retail distribution environment

  • Warehouse storage and logistics settings

  • A large-scale wholesale supply business

Key Responsibilities

As a Material Clerks Supervisor, your duties will include:
Planning and organizing daily logistics and warehouse operations for the organization
Coordinating and collaborating with other departments and work units to ensure operational efficiency
Preparing and submitting detailed reports on inventory, productivity, and staffing
Monitoring the performance and functionality of computer systems and warehouse machinery
Scheduling and arranging maintenance and repairs when necessary
Troubleshooting operational problems and providing sound technical advice to improve processes and quality
Recruiting, hiring, and onboarding new employees
Training team members on company policies, warehouse protocols, and job duties
Organizing staff development and arranging ongoing training opportunities
Conducting performance evaluations and recommending improvements
Supervising and assigning work to clerks and support staff
Ordering and requisitioning supplies, materials, and equipment to maintain optimal inventory levels
Establishing work schedules, managing shift coverage, and ensuring task completion
Overseeing day-to-day warehouse logistics and inventory management
