Job Overview

We are currently hiring Long Haul Truck Drivers to join our growing fleet in Abbotsford, BC. This role is an excellent opportunity for experienced drivers as well as motivated individuals who are willing to train. Successful candidates will operate heavy trucks to transport goods and materials over long distances while ensuring compliance with transportation laws and safety protocols.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials across local, regional, national, and international routes.

• Drive as part of a two-person team or convoy when required.

• Load and unload goods safely, ensuring proper tarping and security of cargo.

• Oversee vehicle condition, including inspecting tires, lights, brakes, cold storage, and related equipment.

• Perform pre-trip, en route, and post-trip inspections, including brake adjustments and emergency roadside repairs.

• Record and maintain accurate logs of cargo information, hours of service, distance traveled, and fuel consumption.

• Communicate effectively with central dispatch and follow scheduling requirements.

• Transport and handle dangerous goods in compliance with regulations.

Credentials and Licences

• Valid Class 1 or A Driver’s Licence

• Air Brakes Endorsement required

• Valid passport for cross-border travel

Experience and Training

• Experience: Will train (new drivers are welcome)

• Documentation Knowledge: Accident or incident reports, bill of lading, driver logbook, inspection and maintenance reports, trip reports, and trans-border documentation.

• Equipment Knowledge: Straight trucks (4,600 kg+ or 10,000 lbs+ with 3+ axles), tractor-trailers, and GPS/navigation systems.

Transportation and Travel Requirements

• Willing to travel cross-border, internationally, and for extended periods.

• Willing to travel overnight on long-haul trips.

• Must have a valid driver’s licence and clean driving record.

• Drug testing and background checks may be required.

Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities

• Physically demanding role with long sitting hours.

• Must be able to handle heavy loads up to 23 kg (50 lbs).

• High attention to detail and ability to manage long hours safely.
