Overview
We are looking for a compassionate and dependable live-in caregiver to provide dedicated care and support for a person with disabilities in Grande Prairie, Alberta. This is a full-time, permanent position that requires living on-site at the employer’s residence. The caregiver will be responsible for assisting with personal care, administering medications, performing light household tasks, and offering companionship in a safe, supportive environment.

Education & Experience

Education: Other trades certificate or diploma, or equivalent experience

Experience: 7 months to less than 1 year of relevant caregiving experience

Key Responsibilities
As a live-in caregiver, you will:
-
Provide bedside and personal care with compassion and dignity
-
Administer prescribed medications as directed
-
Assist with bathing, grooming, and overall personal hygiene
-
Change non-sterile dressings and provide basic health support
-
Feed or assist clients with meals
-
Prepare and serve nutritious, balanced meals
-
Shop for food, groceries, and essential household supplies
-
Launder clothing, bedding, and household linens
-
Perform light housekeeping and general cleaning duties
-
Offer emotional support and companionship to the client
-
Support daily living activities and maintain a safe, comfortable environment
Required Credentials

CPR Certificate

Vehicle: Supplied by employer

Mobility: Willingness to travel as required

Work Conditions & Physical Demands
This role involves both physical activity and flexibility, including:

Bending, crouching, and kneeling when assisting clients
