Overview for Live-in Caregiver (Child Care)

Languages Required: English
Education: High school diploma (or equivalent)
Experience: 1 to less than 7 months


Key Responsibilities

  • Take full charge of household responsibilities in parents’ absence.
  • Perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties.
  • Shop for groceries and household essentials.
  • Accompany the family on trips and assist with childcare and housekeeping tasks.
  • Handle laundry, including washing, ironing, and pressing clothes and linens.
  • Bathe, dress, and feed infants and children.
  • Follow parental methods to discipline children.
  • Teach children about hygiene and social development.
  • Keep detailed records of children’s daily activities and health.
  • Maintain a safe and healthy home environment.
  • Organize activities like games and outings for children.
  • Prepare children for rest or nap times.
  • Supervise and care for children.
  • Transport children to and from school or appointments.
  • Support children’s emotional well-being.
  • Help children with homework.
