Job Overview

Drummond Lodge, a respected care and hospitality facility located in Williams Lake, British Columbia, is seeking a dedicated Laundry Attendant to join its team. This position plays an essential role in maintaining cleanliness, hygiene, and comfort for residents and staff by ensuring that laundry operations are carried out efficiently and to high standards.

• Position Type: Permanent, Part-time

• Work Schedule: 15–25 hours per week, with flexible scheduling available (morning shifts, weekends, on-call, and potential overtime)

• Salary Range: $570 to $1,100 bi-weekly (to be negotiated based on hours and experience)

• Start Date: As soon as possible

Education & Experience

• Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate required

• Experience: Experience in laundry, housekeeping, or a related field is considered an asset, but not mandatory. Training will be provided for the right candidate.

Work Environment

This role requires on-site work only. Remote work is not available. Laundry attendants will be working within a supportive environment where teamwork, reliability, and attention to detail are highly valued.

Key Responsibilities

As a Laundry Attendant at Drummond Lodge, your duties may include:

• Sorting, washing, drying, folding, and ironing linens, uniforms, and residents’ clothing

• Operating and maintaining commercial laundry machines

• Handling laundry chemicals and detergents safely according to guidelines

• Inspecting laundry for stains or damage and treating items as needed

• Ensuring laundry is delivered to appropriate areas in a timely manner

• Maintaining cleanliness and organization of the laundry room

• Reporting any equipment malfunctions to supervisors

• Following health, safety, and hygiene protocols
