Job Details

• Location: Aldergrove, BC (on-site work required)
• Salary: $21.00 to $28.00 per hour (negotiable), 35 to 45 hours per week
• Employment Type: Permanent, full-time
• Work Schedule: Day shifts, with overtime as needed (8:00 AM to 4:30 PM)
• Start Date: As soon as possible

As this is an on-site role, all tasks must be completed at the physical work location. Remote work is not an option.

Responsibilities for Landscape Gardener

• Planting, watering, pruning, and maintaining a variety of plants, flowers, shrubs, and trees.
• Designing and implementing landscaping plans based on client specifications.
• Mowing, edging, and fertilizing lawns to ensure their health and appearance.
• Installing and maintaining irrigation systems to support plant growth.
• Using landscaping tools and machinery such as mowers, trimmers, and hand tools.
• Removing weeds, debris, and other unwanted materials to keep outdoor areas clean.
• Applying mulch, fertilizers, and pesticides as needed while following safety protocols.
• Constructing pathways, retaining walls, and decorative features in gardens and landscapes.
• Identifying plant diseases and pest infestations, and taking appropriate remedial actions.
• Working with clients and team members to meet project deadlines and quality standards.

Skills and Qualifications

• Education: College, CEGEP, or a non-university certificate/diploma from a program lasting three months to one year.
• Experience: Experience in landscaping or gardening is an asset but not required.
• Skills:
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work with precision.
  • Physically fit and capable of handling demanding tasks.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Knowledge of plants, soil types, and landscaping techniques.
  • Good communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to use landscaping tools and equipment safely and effectively.
  • Adaptability to different weather conditions and job site challenges.
