About the Role

As a Household Team Member, you will be assigned to different household duties on a rotating basis, ensuring that all areas of the facility are maintained to a high standard. Your responsibilities will include:

1. Cleaning Duties:

  • Disinfecting and maintaining resident rooms, bathrooms, common areas, and medical support spaces

  • Following health and safety cleaning protocols, especially in hospital-standard environments

  • Replenishing supplies and reporting any maintenance or hygiene issues

2. Kitchen Hand Responsibilities:

  • Assisting with meal preparation and plating

  • Washing dishes and sanitizing kitchen surfaces

  • Supporting the kitchen team during peak meal times

3. Laundry Tasks:

  • Collecting, sorting, washing, drying, folding, and distributing laundry

  • Ensuring proper hygiene and cleanliness of linen, clothing, and personal items

  • Operating commercial laundry machines safely and efficiently

We’re Looking for Someone Who:

  • Has a good command of the English language (both spoken and written)

  • Can follow instructions accurately and work within established protocols

  • Is capable of working independently and collaboratively within a team

  • Has a friendly, respectful, and professional manner

  • Demonstrates reliability and a strong work ethic

  • Has previous experience in aged care, hospital, or commercial housekeeping (preferred, but not required)

  • Holds a valid New Zealand work visa or residency
