Known for its reliability and commitment to safety, Copper Island Diving Ltd is now hiring for a seasonal full-time position for an enthusiastic and dedicated individual to assist their diving team.
Position Overview
The position includes hands-on assistance with diving operations and other supportive tasks required during diving sessions. You must work on-site and adapt to the seasonal nature of the role. This job does not offer remote work. You will play a crucial role in the successful execution of underwater operations by providing on-site logistical support to divers and ensuring smooth and safe working conditions.
Responsibilities

Assist divers during preparations, dives, and post-dive procedures

Handle diving gear, inspect equipment, and ensure it is maintained and operational

Set up and secure diving platforms and safety lines

Monitor diver communications and offer assistance from the surface

Load and unload equipment before and after assignments

Maintain cleanliness and organization of gear and work areas

Support team members with additional tasks related to marine diving activities
Qualifications
-
No specific education or certification required
-
No previous experience necessary; training will be provided

Fit and able to work in outdoor and aquatic environments

Should be comfortable working with diving equipment and assisting in marine activities

A strong work ethic and the ability to follow safety procedures are essential

Must be punctual, reliable, and capable of working well in a team setting
Language Requirement
You must be able to communicate effectively in English
Work Environment
Work must be completed on site in Salmon Arm, BC
This is not a remote or hybrid role
You must be prepared to work in varying weather and water conditions depending on the assignment
