As a Ground Safety Officer at Qatar Airways, you’ll be responsible for ensuring the safety and security of our ground operations. You’ll work closely with the Ground Safety team to analyze safety data, identify risks, and implement preventive measures. Your responsibilities will include:

Data Analysis: Collecting, organizing, and analyzing safety occurrence data to identify trends, patterns, and potential hazards.
Risk Assessment: Conducting thorough risk assessments of ground operations to identify potential safety hazards and develop mitigation strategies.
Incident Investigations: Investigating safety incidents to determine root causes, identify contributing factors, and recommend corrective actions.
Safety Reporting: Preparing and submitting safety reports, including daily occurrence reviews, monthly safety performance reports, and incident investigation reports.
Safety Training: Developing and delivering safety training programs to ground staff to enhance their awareness of safety procedures and best practices.
Safety Audits: Conducting safety audits of ground operations to ensure compliance with safety regulations and standards.
Safety Management System (SMS): Contributing to the development and maintenance of the SMS within Ground Services.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in aviation safety, engineering, or a related field.
At least 3 years of experience in aviation safety or a related field.
Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
In-depth knowledge of aviation safety regulations and standards, including ICAO, EASA, QCAA, IOSA, and ISAGO.
Proficiency in data analysis tools and software, such as Excel, SQL, and safety management systems.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
