About the Role
We are currently looking for a reliable and motivated Farm Hand to join our Tuakau team. This role is perfect for someone who enjoys staying active, working with animals, and being part of a supportive environment. You will play a vital part in caring for poultry flocks, ensuring they thrive, and maintaining the highest standards of animal welfare.
This is a hands-on position that requires physical activity, teamwork, and a genuine passion for animal care. No prior farm experience is required — we provide training for the right candidates.
Key Responsibilities
As a Farm Hand, your day-to-day tasks will include:

Handling and caring for poultry in a safe, ethical, and compassionate manner

Collecting eggs for delivery to the Hatchery

Feeding flocks and ensuring sheds are kept clean, tidy, and safe

Preparing sheds and equipment for the arrival of new birds

Performing general farm duties to keep daily operations running efficiently
What We’re Looking For
We want someone who is:

Positive, reliable, and always willing to pitch in

Passionate about animal care and committed to high standards of welfare

Detail-oriented with good time management skills

Flexible and able to work on a rotating roster, including weekends

Able to meet biosecurity requirements (no poultry or birds at home)
You will also need to:

Be based in New Zealand, with valid work rights

Live within 30 minutes of the site for easy access to work
