Role Purpose

We are seeking a dedicated, reliable, and versatile All-Round Factory Worker to join our hardworking team. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on physical work, thrives in a team-oriented setting, and takes pride in producing quality outcomes. As an all-rounder, you will be cross-trained in multiple areas of the factory to provide operational flexibility and support our production flow. The role offers a balance of manual labour, assembly tasks, and delivery responsibilities, making every day varied and engaging.

Key Responsibilities

As a Factory Worker at Greenpark Products, you will be responsible for a wide range of tasks. These may vary depending on production needs but typically include:

Order Processing & Packing

  • Picking, packing, and labeling customer orders accurately.

  • Using packaging materials to protect goods during transportation.

  • Ensuring all orders meet the company’s quality control standards.

  • Coordinating with dispatch staff to ensure timely deliveries.

Assembly & Foam Filling

  • Filling foam into cases for outdoor furniture cushions and related products.

  • Operating basic tools and machinery safely and efficiently.

  • Following detailed assembly instructions to maintain product uniformity.

  • Performing routine checks to ensure measurements and specifications are correct.

Delivery Duties

  • Safely loading and unloading goods for transport.

  • Driving company vehicles to deliver products to customers, retailers, and business partners.

  • Maintaining a professional and polite manner during deliveries.

  • Keeping accurate delivery records and obtaining required signatures.

General Factory Support

  • Assisting other staff members in different departments when required.

  • Moving stock within the factory and managing material flow to workstations.

  • Performing minor repairs or adjustments to equipment when necessary (training provided).

Workplace Maintenance & Safety

  • Keeping the work area clean, organized, and hazard-free.

  • Disposing of waste materials appropriately.

  • Adhering to health and safety regulations, including PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) use.

  • Reporting any hazards or incidents immediately to supervisors.

Requirements

To be considered for this position, you should ideally meet the following criteria:

  • Mandatory:

    • Current New Zealand driver’s licence.

    • Legal right to work in New Zealand.

  • Preferred but Not Essential:

    • Previous experience in a manufacturing, assembly, or process work environment.

    • Forklift licence (or willingness to obtain one – company assistance may be available).

    • Basic knowledge of hand tools and light machinery.

    • Experience with quality control procedures.
