Job Role: Factory Process Worker
This is a dynamic and physically demanding role that involves:

  • Transporting kōura to and from the factory.
  • Unloading, weighing, and grading kōura to meet compliance standards.
  • Packing kōura for international export.
  • Conducting quality water checks as needed.
  • Managing inventory control processes.

Given the nature of the fishing industry, working hours may be irregular, especially during the busy season.

Ideal Candidate Profile
We’re looking for candidates who are:

  • Physically fit and able to handle manual tasks.
  • Punctual, reliable, and able to commit to shifts, including weekends.
  • Great team players with strong interpersonal skills.
  • Comfortable working unsupervised and proactive in their approach.
  • Possess good computer skills and commit to maintaining a healthy and safe work environment

Experience in the fishing industry and licenses (Class 2, forklift) are advantageous but not required. However, you must be fully vaccinated against Covid-19 and legally authorized to work in New Zealand
