Requirements

Languages: English
Education: High school diploma (or equivalent)
Experience: 1–2 years in a similar role

Work Setting: On-site position requiring physical presence. Remote work is not an option.

Job Responsibilities for Early Childhood Educator (ECE)

• Assess children’s developmental needs and design individualized learning plans.
• Lead creative activities such as storytelling, singing, and exploring local attractions.
• Encourage creativity through art, drama, music, and physical activities.
• Assist children in developing essential habits like eating, dressing, and toilet training.
• Prepare snacks and arrange rooms for meals and rest periods.
• Observe and document children’s progress for review by educators or supervisors.
• Participate in staff meetings to discuss children’s progress and any challenges.
• Ensure compliance with licensing regulations.
• Foster strong relationships with co-workers and community child-care partners.
• Plan and organize activities for school-aged children before and after school hours.
• Supervise and coordinate tasks for other ECE staff and assistants.

Qualifications

• Certifications:
  • Child Development Supervisor (ECE Level 3)
  • First Aid Certification
  • CPR Certification
