About the Role

We are excited to offer opportunities for trade-qualified Diesel Fitters to join our brand-new Liberty Street branch in Cairns, the largest Caterpillar Rebuild Centre (CRG) in Far North Queensland. We currently have multiple permanent positions available with a Monday to Thursday work schedule.

As a Diesel Fitter, you will play a crucial role in our operations, working with cutting-edge machinery while receiving guidance from experienced technicians. Your responsibilities will include:

• Repairing, maintaining, and servicing key Caterpillar machinery and components.
• Assembling equipment for Caterpillar systems.
• Utilizing Caterpillar Diagnostic Systems (ET VIMS, SIMSi, and SIS) for effective equipment assessment.
• Conducting diagnostic assessments on equipment used in mining, general construction, and power generation.
• Collaborating as part of a dedicated and skilled team in a dynamic work environment to meet repair targets.

About You

We are looking for team members who possess the following qualifications:

• A Certificate III in Engineering and Mechanical or similar qualifications.
• Knowledge and hands-on experience in engine reconditioning and rebuilds.
• Proven service and repair experience on heavy machinery.
• Familiarity with Caterpillar Diagnostic Systems or similar technology in motor mechanics and agriculture/sugar farming.
• A strong commitment to workplace health and safety practices.
• A customer-driven approach with a focus on continuous improvement.
• Excellent time management and a dedication to quality control.
