What You’ll Oversee On Rotation
- Direct rigging crews and crane ops per lifting plans, assigning roles for zero-incident executions
- Supervise rig/derig setups, ensuring certified gear and optimal deck layouts for cranes, forklifts, and personnel
- Monitor lifting appliances pre/during/post-use; report damages and enforce PTW protocols
- Conduct toolbox talks, JSAs, and risk assessments; stop unsafe acts immediately
- Manage material handling, housekeeping, and coactivity minimization with adjacent teams
- Assist in marine ops (e.g., mooring) and report to 1st Assistant for seamless workflows
Essential Requirements for 2025 Hires
- OPITO-approved Rigging Competence Stage 3/4 + Banksman/Slinger Level 2 (or NSL-EAL/ECITB equivalent)
- Minimum 5 years offshore deck experience, including 2+ as a Foreman on vessels/drillships
- BOSIET/FOET + HUET/CA-EBS + valid OGUK medical
- G20 hydraulic crane op ticket; Working at Height + Rescue preferred
- Strong English for safety briefs; leadership for multicultural crews
- Physically fit for heavy lifts, heights, and dynamic environments
- Clean safety record with incident reporting expertise
Preferred Skills for Priority Mobilization
- Heavy lift/jacket install experience on cable lay or IMR projects
- LOLER/DOL compliance and advanced PTW knowledge
