Location: Langford, BC, V9B 5X7
Work Setting: On-site, employer’s private home (rural area)
Work Site Environment: Non-smoking, scent-free household
Position Type: Permanent, Full-time
Work Hours: 40 hours per week (08:00 a.m. – 04:00 p.m., Monday to Friday)
Salary: $18.90 – $19.00 per hour (negotiable)

Education & Experience
Secondary (High School) Graduation Certificate or equivalent experience
Minimum 3–5 years of relevant experience in child care or early childhood education
Credentials & Certifications
Early Childhood Education (ECE) Certificate (preferred)
Responsibilities & Key Duties
As a child care provider in a private home, your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

Provide full-time supervision and care for children, ensuring their safety and well-being.

Change diapers and assist with toilet training as directed by parents.

Bathe, dress, feed, and prepare children for daily activities and rest periods.

Sterilize bottles, prepare infant formulas, and serve nutritious meals.

Organize educational and recreational activities such as games, crafts, and outings.
-
Teach and guide children in personal hygiene, manners, and social development.
-
Support emotional well-being by providing a nurturing, patient, and positive environment.
-
Maintain daily records of activities, meals, and any health concerns.
-
Perform light housekeeping, laundry, and general cleaning related to child care.
-
Shop for food and household supplies as needed.
-
Accompany family on trips, assisting with child supervision and light household duties.

Follow parental guidelines regarding discipline, schedules, and routines.
