Truck driver required in New Zealand
GVI Logistics is a New Zealand-owned international logistics company that specialises in the import and export of both dry and perishable cargo by air and sea, as well as customs brokerage, event logistics, and third-party logistics.
We have an Export Airfreight Operator post available due to growth. This is a critical position that aids with all aspects of the day-to-day operations of the Export Airfreight department at our Auckland Airport location.
The ideal candidate will have prior expertise in freight forwarding, be dependable, eloquent, and have a strong focus on customer service and attention to detail.
In this role, we are looking for the following qualities:
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- Under pressure, you must be able to operate quietly and efficiently.
- A strong work ethic and problem-solving abilities
- A high degree of computer knowledge, particularly in Word and Excel.
- A team player who can also operate independently
- A cheerful demeanour and a good sense of humour
- Capability to quickly learn new systems and processes
- Valid Driver’s License
- A Customs Pin would be useful but not required.
- Knowledge of the EDI/Cargowise operating system
- Extensive knowledge of the E-cert system
Day-to-day responsibilities might include:
- Clients, Airlines, and Overseas Agents are all contacted.
- Entering Data
- All export documentation for perishable airfreight shipments is being prepared.
seafood, meat, dairy, and produce - Obtaining quotes and preparing them for clients
- Successful candidates will be subjected to a criminal background check by the Ministry of Justice.
