Position Summary
MIT Recruitment Agency is recruiting experienced and compassionate Care Workers (SSW 1) to provide direct personal and nursing care for patients in Japan. Successful candidates will support daily living activities, assist with basic nursing-care tasks, and promote clients’ wellbeing and independence under the direction of supervising nurses or care coordinators.
Key Responsibilities

Provide personal care including bathing, dressing, grooming and feeding assistance.

Assist clients with mobility, transfers and prescribed physical therapy exercises.

Administer or assist with prescribed medication as instructed and record medication administration in the medical chart.

Monitor and document patients’ health status and changes in condition; maintain accurate medical and care charts.

Plan and prepare meals in consultation with clients and according to dietary requirements where the client is able to assist.

Provide companionship and emotional support; encourage client participation in social and therapeutic activities.

Respond promptly and responsibly to emergencies, following established protocols.

Report unusual incidents or changes in patient condition to the appropriate clinical or supervisory staff.

Maintain Confidentiality, dignity and respect for all clients at all times.
Qualifications & Requirements
Essential
-
Minimum 3 years’ relevant care experience.

No formal minimum academic attainment required (experience is essential).

SSW program eligibility and readiness to work in Japan under the Specified Skilled Workers scheme.

JLPT N4 (Japanese Language Proficiency Test) or equivalent competency in Japanese for care settings.

Successful completion / pass of the Nursing Care Japanese Language Evaluation Test.

Successful completion / pass of the Nursing Care Skills Evaluation Test.

Prometric Skills Test pass (as applicable to the position).

Ability to follow clinical instructions, medical charts and care plans.

Good interpersonal skills and the capacity to work in a culturally diverse team and care environment.
Desirable
-
Prior experience working in a clinical or residential aged-care setting.

Additional caregiving, first aid, or basic nursing certifications.

Salary and working hours: as per employer contract and Japanese labour regulations; details will be provided during the hiring process.

Location: assigned facilities in Japan (locations vary by employer).

Work schedule: full-time rostered hours; may include evenings, weekends and shift work depending on client needs.
