About the Role for the Sales Representative job 2025
As a Sales Representative covering the Canterbury and West Coast regions, you will play a key role in expanding our customer base and strengthening Kobelco’s presence in the market. You’ll be the face of the brand—engaging with clients, identifying new business opportunities, and ensuring customers receive an exceptional experience.
Key Responsibilities for the Sales Representative job 2025
• Identify, generate, and pursue new sales opportunities through cold calling, networking, referrals, and lead development.
• Travel throughout your allocated territory to visit existing and potential clients.
• Build, strengthen, and maintain long-term relationships with a diverse customer base.
• Present, promote, and sell Kobelco products and services using clear, persuasive, and well-structured communication.
• Achieve and exceed monthly and annual sales targets and KPIs.
• Provide accurate market feedback, competitor insights, and customer requirements.
• Work closely with operations, service, and parts teams to ensure customer satisfaction from sales to after-sales support.
About You
We’re looking for someone who brings both skill and personality to the role:
• Proven experience in sales or a related commercial field.
• Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal abilities.
• A motivated, results-driven mindset with the ability to work independently.
• A proactive approach to building relationships and identifying business opportunities.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, target-oriented environment.
• Prior experience in construction machinery, heavy equipment, or related industries is highly advantageous.
• A valid New Zealand driver’s licence.
