About the Role / Forklift Operator (2nd Shift)

Sunsweet Growers Inc. is seeking a skilled and safety-conscious Forklift Operator to join our Fleetwood facility on the 2nd shift. Under the supervision of the shift leader, you will be responsible for moving, loading, and supplying materials across production and storage areas, ensuring smooth workflow in our juice production and packaging lines.

Key Responsibilities

  • Safely operate forklifts to transport bins, pallets, supplies, and equipment to designated areas.

  • Maintain continuous flow of product and raw materials between production and storage lines.

  • Load and unload trucks efficiently while following safety protocols.

  • Stock juice production lines with pallets and support palletizer operations.

  • Transfer pallets of finished goods to staging areas and prepare shipments.

  • Wrap, tag, and prepare pallets with slip-sheets and boards.

  • Supply production lines with packaging materials and bottles as needed.

  • Move empty pallets, dunnage, and other packaging supplies to designated zones.

  • Remove waste, excess material, or refuse as directed.

  • Complete daily equipment checklists and maintain forklift fuel, oil, and water levels.

  • Ensure work areas are kept clean, safe, and organized at all times.

  • Perform heavy lifting (up to 50 lbs frequently; up to 150 lbs with assistance periodically).

  • Work overtime when required to meet production demands.

  • Follow all company safety procedures and report unsafe conditions promptly.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Previous experience operating a forklift in a warehouse or production environment preferred.

  • Must meet company standards for forklift operation (skill test required).

  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions accurately.

  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.

  • Must be able to qualify as a Utility Person.

  • Ability to handle repetitive lifting, pushing, and pulling of materials up to 50 lbs.
