Key Responsibilities

The Foreman (Deck) role involves leading deck crew operations, ensuring safety, and managing critical tasks across QatarEnergy LNG’s offshore platforms. Your responsibilities include:

Core Duties

  • Deck Crew Leadership: Oversee cargo and equipment movements, including backload/offload operations, and manage material distribution across main and remote platforms.

  • Rigging and Housekeeping: Provide rigging and scaffolding services, ensure waste segregation, and maintain general deck housekeeping, including platform and bridge cleaning.

  • Crane Operations Oversight: Supervise infield crane operations and inspections to ensure compliance with company procedures, including accurate crane logbook entries.

  • Personnel Basket Transfers: Provide supervision for crane-based personnel basket transfers under restrictive conditions to ensure safety.

  • Maintenance Support: Assist maintenance and safety crews with crane-related tasks, such as repositioning crane arms, adjusting pulleys, and testing equipment.

Additional Responsibilities

  • Helicopter Landing Operations: Serve as a certified Helicopter Landing Officer (HLO), managing helideck operations during landings, takeoffs, and emergencies, including refueling and fuel skid certification.

  • Lifting Gear Compliance: Maintain records of certified lifting gear, ensuring compliance with ad-hoc and bi-annual inspection and recertification requirements.

Work Environment and Schedule

The role requires flexibility to support 24-hour crane and helideck coverage as needed. As part of the Emergency Response Team, you’ll also undertake assigned duties to ensure rapid response to incidents.

  • Reports to: Senior Logistics & Materials Supervisor.

  • Direct Reports: 1 team member.

  • Internal Collaboration: Work with Radio Operators, Offshore Medics, department teams, disciplined Supervisors, and Onshore Logistics Coordinators.

  • External Collaboration: Liaise with third-party contractor representatives, vessel captains, and helicopter crews.

Qualifications and Skills Needed

Essential Requirements
