Microsoft has introduced the first major changes to its Windows platform in more than five years, and is bringing some significant changes to the industry. Mint looks at how Windows 11 transforms the user experience with the PC market.
When Microsoft announced Windows 10 more than five years ago, it announced that it would be “the latest version of Windows ever available.” In the technology industry, updating the operating system version (OS) is often a time of dynamic changes that set the tone for future applications and software development.
But Apple and Google apps, which are updated annually, have already undergone additional updates, and many are reading Microsoft’s announcement that Windows 10 will be the last to accept that. With Windows 11, the expectation would be that engineers and users would find features they could not do before.
While Windows 11 brings a change in the user interface (UI) interface, the biggest new change here is the fact that Windows will now support Android apps, powered by tie-ups and the big e-commerce of Amazon and Intel. Amazon AppStore will bring Android apps to Windows devices, while Intel Bridge is a technology that allows these apps to run on a variety of processors on Windows laptops.
Adding Android apps to Windows makes PCs easier to use, and Microsoft has said apps like TikTok, Yahoo and Uber will work with its new platform.
The Small UI shifts to the side, Microsoft has also integrated Groups into Windows 11. It is a major step forward for the company’s video interaction platform and is no doubt driven by the growing popularity of such platforms after the epidemic. It’s an unprecedented move for Skype, its other affiliate platform, and Cement Teams as Microsoft’s future-building tool.
How does the new OS affect competitors?
The new Microsoft Store allows developers to use third-party marketing systems and save 100% of their revenue from their apps and services. This could be a problem for Apple and Google, which are facing reversal from developers by forcing their built-in payment tools into apps to collect commissions.
The Microsoft Store has cited, by Apple and Google, as a competition for the App Store and Google Play, meaning that its new initiative could be seen as an example in the legal battles Apple and Google face.
What does the future of PCs mean?
As a global leader in desktop operating systems, the minimum requirements for Windows 11 will set the PC hardware tone in the future. While Windows 11 is a free update for “supported” PCs, only those with at least 4 GB of memory are working with it. It also makes TPM, a security feature that protects sensitive, mandatory data. While most modern PCs match these market requirements Like in India, cheap laptops will be faster and more secure if they have to support Windows 11. Doing so could jeopardize their prices.
